The Dominican Community of Birgu is pleased to announce the principal preachers for this year's religious celebrations in honour of our Holy Father, St. Dominic.
The homilies during the Sacred Triduum, which begins on Wednesday, 26th August, will be preached by Fr. Charles Tabone OP. Through his reflections, the faithful will be invited to deepen their appreciation of the life, spirituality, and enduring mission of St. Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers.
The Pontifical Mass on the feast day, Sunday, 30th August, commencing at 9:00 a.m., will feature the traditional Paniġierku delivered by Fr. Reno Muscat OP. This solemn celebration is the spiritual highlight of the feast and offers an opportunity for the faithful to reflect on the rich legacy of St. Dominic and his unwavering commitment to preaching the Gospel.
We look forward with great anticipation to welcoming Fr. Charles Tabone OP and Fr. Reno Muscat OP to our community. We are confident that their preaching will provide meaningful insights into the holy life of St. Dominic, his profound love for Christ, and the charism of preaching that continues to inspire the Dominican Order and the Church today.
The Dominican Community warmly invites all devotees and members of the public to participate in these celebrations and join us in honouring St. Dominic through prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving.
