At 7:15pm, the statue of St Dominic will emerge from the church to begin its procession through the decorated streets.
This is the moment when the festa truly comes alive.
The procession will be accompanied by four different band clubs, adding the unmistakable sound of traditional Maltese festa music to the celebrations. Among them will be a band club travelling from Augusta in Sicily, bringing an international dimension to this Maltese celebration.
The procession, music, crowds, magnificent decorations and spectacular fireworks combine to create the unique atmosphere for which Maltese festas are famous.
A Must-See Maltese Tradition
